I am so out of my element. I bought QM for really simple reasons, to add text or change text. I do not know where to begin. I understand the concept but haven't a clue what key to push first. Can you direct me to simple beginners instructions about how to use the program? Thanks a lot. An example, I don't know what most of the initials you use rountinely mean. I'm sorry, I need to learn. go to the program help (ctrl-f1) and look up "Text-sensitive menu". this gives me the ability to not only type out "Ken Gray" when I hit the trigger key and then "ke" but also my address, phone, etc. it can also startup really complex macros too.

what kind of things do you do that take a lot of repetative steps to do?

Please tell more what Quick Macros should do. Eg, paste text when you press a hotkey, or expand abbreviations, etc.
