.getsel and .setsel equivalent in libreautomate

Is there a function/method in libreautomate equivalent to the string method .getsel and .setsel that's in quick macros?

In code editor type copy and select copySnippet in the list.
In code editor type paste and select pasteSnippet in the list.

Also look for copy or paste in the Cookbook panel.
