Integrating If Condition with Find Window code

In the below code, I would like to introduce an if condition to do away with the err routine.
Th err routine is slow for some reason.
Kindly advise.

Could you kindly let me know as to why the err routine is slow.
Maybe my understanding is wrong...

wait(3 ...)
waits for window 3 s, then error.

win(...)
just finds window, does not wait.
