With the first one I think I didn't explain right. What I meant was a vertical dotted line like in the screenshot:

So it is easier to count the amount of tabs. Maybe this is a better example:

Indentation guides are vertical lines in the editor that follow the tab stops in the document so that code blocks can be visually tracked.
