within my macro, i use setwintext and every so often and not every time the window text i changed returns back to its previous name. is there away to stop this?

If you want it to Semi-permanenly change the name just give the macro a window trigger.
Click on the macro and go to its properties -> Trigger Menu -> Created & visible -> Use Drag and Drop feature, and drop it on the window you want. This will set the macro up so whenever it sees that window it will change its name to what you have set in the macro.

thanks for the quick reply.

making a trigger wont work for me becuse both windows start off with same name. so it will rename both windows.

is there away then to make a trigger window only preform once and only work by running a macro?
