Pressing controller buttons in a macro?
#1
Yes, this is a game related question. But it doesn't have anything to do with p-o-k-e-r [the word without dashes is eaten by the forum, probably for good reasons], cheats, etc., but rather with plain old video games.

Is it possible to use QuickMacros to simulate a button press on a USB game controller device? If there isn't, would anyone have a guess which dll I might want to fiddle with to see if I can find an appropriate function?

And I suspect this isn't doable, but... can this be done in reverse, with a button on a game controller as a macro trigger?

Reverse - try joystick API or DirectInput.
Pressing buttons - try to send MM_JOY1BUTTONDOWN etc messages to the game window. But probably this will not work.
