 Launching slower than before

Hi,
I am just not sure why LA is launching around 3 times slower than before since the recent updates. It works very well just as always. Just want to know it's normal or not. Thanks

LA startup speed results on my computer. Windows 11, SSD disk. Measured the time from before starting the process to when the editor text becomes colored.
LA 0.18 7.2 s when starts first time after Windows started. 2.4 s later. LA 0.19 7.2 s when starts first time after Windows started. 2.4 s later. Windows Defender makes much slower when starting first time. The 7.2 s becomes 4.1 s if these folders are excluded: C:\Program Files\dotnet and C:\Program Files\LibreAutomate. A possible reason why LA 0.19 could start slower the first time: it uses .NET 8, whereas LA 0.18 uses .NET 6. .NET 6 is 2 years old and very likely your computer has other programs that use it. If they start before LA, then LA starts much faster because .NET dlls are already loaded into the filesystem cache and scanned by antivirus software. .NET 8 is several days old, and very likely you still don't have other programs that use it. |
